Kyle Benjamin / No. 20 Hisense Toyota Preview
Pocono Green 250 at Pocono Raceway
POCONO: This will be Benjamin’s second NASCAR XFINITY Series race with the No. 20 JGR team and he will be running the Hisense paint scheme this weekend at the Tricky Triangle in the Pocono Mountains.  Benjamin ran two ARCA Series races on the unique 2.5-mile track finishing 28th in 2015 and fifth in 2016.
SPONSOR: The primary sponsor on the No. 20 Toyota Camry this weekend is Hisense.  In case you didn’t know, Hisense is one of the largest consumer electronics brands in the world, making premium TV and home appliance products accessible for everyone.
TO THE POINT: Benjamin had his debut with JGR in the NXS at Richmond International Raceway back on April 29.  He started from the front row and for the first 240 laps ran in the top-10 until he was involved in a late race wreck causing him to finish 32nd.  He has 32 starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and has accumulated five wins, 14 top-five and 19 top-10 finishes.  He also has an impressive record in the ARCA Racing Series with 20 starts, two wins and two poles.
BENJAMIN’S FUTURE RACES WITH JGR: JGR added a NASCAR XFINITY Series race to Benjamin’s schedule for June 24 at Iowa in the No. 18 Toyota Camry.  He will still pilot the No. 18 Toyota Camry on July 29 at Iowa Speedway and finish up on September 23 at Kentucky Speedway.
JGR AT POCONO: JGR has three NASCAR XFINITY Series starts at Pocono and has earned two top-five and three top-10 finishes. The championship-winning organization has an average start of 2.0 and an average finish of 5.0.
RACE INFO: Pocono Green 250 at Pocono Raceway (2.5-mile) begins at 1:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 10. The race will be broadcast live on FOX, Sirius XM Channel 90 and MRN Radio.
From the Cockpit:
Kyle Benjamin: “I’m looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the JGR No. 20 Toyota Camry at Pocono. We did not get the finish we wanted at Richmond, but the performance was there all day. Pocono has been one of the most interesting tracks to me. It has three different turns, which makes it a difficult place to get your car handling exactly how you want it. I have some ARCA experience there. We have Hisense on board as our sponsor and I’m confident we’ll unload fast and have a solid run.”
From the Pit Box:
Chris Gabehart: “After Kyle Benjamin’s impressive performance at Richmond earlier this year, everyone on the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 20 Hisense Toyota Camry team is extremely excited to get up to Pocono and try to get him the top-five finish he came so close to earning at Richmond. With Kyle having some experience in ARCA already at Pocono, and the fast car we had there the last time we were there, we feel as though a top-five is attainable. Kyle’s goal will be simple. He needs to get a lead lap finish with all the fenders on it. If we do that, we feel certain we will have a great shot at a top 10 finish.”
